Grant Masterson has been a pioneer in data-driven research across Africa since 2003, working on elections, governance processes, political parties, government institutions, information technologies and opinion surveys. He has published and edited multiple books on democracy & governance. During his work with international organisations, Grant has designed, implemented and analysed cross-national data collection surveys in more than 15 African countries.

Grant has implemented methodological approaches to data collection and compilation in the governance space that have now become the industry standard subsequent to their introduction.

Grant currently advises businesses on country risk analysis and internal data management processes.
